Service Update:
C2 Chatterbus – Delays Expected on Saturday 16th Mar 2024
We are expecting delays on Saturday 16th March 2024 due to the full closure of the M25 Motorway between Junction 10 and 11 in both directions between 9pm Fri 15th March and Mon 18th March.
Although the Saturday C2 Chatterbus service doesn’t use the M25, there is likely to be additional traffic in the Cobham and Painshill areas which may disrupt the Saturday timetable to Brooklands and Weybridge. We don’t expect any impact to the C1 or C3 services on the Friday or Monday unless the M25 roadworks gets delayed.
Gas network upgrades in the Fairmile/Portsmouth Rd area – 29 Mar to 14 Apr 2024
The C1 and C3 Chatterbus services are likely to be disrupted by further gas main roadworks where the Fairmile Lane and Portsmouth Road meet between the 29th March to 14th April 2024.
Very appropriate Post Box Topper
This post box topper made by Diana Peacock in Cobham is very appropriate with all the roadworks and traffic disruption we are all facing at the moment.
Well done Diana for another fantastic creation!

Your community-run bus service for the Cobham area
Chatterbus provides a reliable, friendly service that’s there when it’s needed. It is a unique not-for-profit service, managed by local people for the local community and is operated by the East Surrey Rural Transport Partnership under contract to Chatterbus CIO (charity no. 1173907).
Chatterbus C1, C2 & C3 routes
The Chatterbus East-West service between Cobham and Weybridge (plus Fetcham and Leatherhead on Saturdays) plugs a significant gap in the local transport system and complements other local bus services.
Our Local Sponsors
Chatterbus could not run without the help of our four Principle Sponsors – Elmbridge Borough Council, Surrey County Council, Walton Charity and PA Housing. We are also very grateful to our fantastic Sponsors Co-op, Levanter Developments, Grosvenor Billinghurst, NFU Mutual, Specsavers, South West Railway and Waitrose.
And we owe a great debt to all the local organisations and bodies whose donations help us to run this important service – Cobham Conservation and Heritage Trust, Cobham and Downside Residents Association, Cobham Chamber of Commerce, Cobham Garden Club, St Andrew’s Church – Cobham, St Mary’s Church – Stoke D’Abernon, Stoke D’Abernon Residents Association.
